Sound effects are to audio what salt is to bread. 🍞 Leaving them out can leave your audio a little bland.

In Wondercraft, once you create your audio narration the edit page should look like this:

The fourth option down on the top left of the screen is Sound Effects - its icon is a little volume dial.

If you click on this, you’ll gain access to a library of SFX (we have nearly 800). You can type in the search bar to find any sound effect you would like, for example, “alien breathing.”

Once you find an effect you like, click the plus button to add it to the timeline, or click the star to add it to your favorites.

If we don’t have the sound effect you want, generate your own by clicking the green button beneath the search bar. Follow the instructions to generate your effect.

Alternatively, you can upload your own sound effect by clicking the green button to the right of the search bar.

Once you’ve added your chosen SFX to the timeline, they will show up as a yellow clip at the bottom of the screen. Add as many as you want to enhance your audio.
