Welcome to another issue of 7 Weekly Wonders by Wondercraft. Today's highlights: Wondercraft gets feelings, new Youtube policy related to AI content, update on how users get charged credits, and closing with a quote from our friend Steven Bartlett. 🇬🇧
Due to its significant impact, this feature earns its place at the top for another week. You can now infuse any voice with any emotion and accent. After addressing a few initial bugs since its launch last week, the experience is now even smoother. It's available in the app, so we encourage you to explore it or watch our brief video to see it in action.
YouTube has introduced a new policy requiring creators to disclose if their videos have been altered using AI. It's likely that content created with Wondercraft will fall under this rule. While it's unclear if this will affect the algorithm, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan previously stated in an interview that the platform doesn't intend to restrict AI-generated content, allowing audience preferences and the algorithm to guide content visibility.
Colin & Samir recently hosted Mr. Beast, on their show, where he suggested dubbing their content, beginning with that episode. Following his advice, Wondercraft collaborated with their team to globalize the content. You can now enjoy the show in Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic, and Hindi, featuring cloned voices of the trio from our partner, Elevenlabs.
4. Here's the scoop on what we've been up 🥣
- Starting today, we're rolling out a new, more user-friendly approach to how we charge credits for audio production. Previously, using the "Produce Full Track" feature would cost credits based on the full track's length. Now, you'll only be charged for the segments where you've made changes. This adjustment aligns with our commitment to helping you create high-quality content, recognizing that producing the full track, rather than just previews, is essential for achieving this goal.
- We've made improvements to the emotion and accent features, including an update that allows you to reset a voice back to its default settings after applying emotions and accents.
5. Here’s what’s coming next 👀
Here's what's high on our agenda for the next updates:
We've begun implementing collaboration features and plan to introduce more. You can now share your Workspace with colleagues, exchange production assets, and comment on each other's projects. Stay tuned for further developments in this area!
6. How to emotion 🥹
Learn how to introduce feelings and accents to any voice!
- Emotions: Neutral, Excited, Sad, Calm, and Instructive
- Accents: American, Australian, British, and Multilingual
Take a quick peek below. This adds 15 more choices per voice, multiplying your voice options by 15x. We're planning to expand the list of accents and emotions, but if there's something specific you're after right now, don't hesitate to reach out.
7. Closing with a Wonderful quote
Stop telling yourself you’re not qualified, good enough or worthy. Growth happens when you start doing the things you’re not qualified to do. - Steven Bartlett
