The first step in creating a great audio ad is building a great script. Wondercraft’s AI script generator is a smart tool that helps you quickly create audio content by guiding the AI with a customizable prompt.  In this guide, we’ll walk you through using the script generator, focusing on creating an audio ad as an example.

Step 1: Accessing the Script Generator

When you’re on the edit page of your track, the first thing to do is instruct Wondercraft’s script assistant, you can do this by either importing your own custom prompt or browsing the pre-designed prompts in the Wondercraft prompt library. For more detailed instructions, click here.

Step 2: Browse the Prompt Library

In the prompt library, you’ll find a collection of ready-to-use prompts tailored to different types of content like ads, podcasts, or meditations. These prompts are designed to give you a head start by sparking your creativity.

Step 3: Customizing the Prompt

Once you’ve selected a prompt and clicked ‘Use prompt’, you’ll see [bracketed] sections that you can edit.

Customize the prompt to suits your needs by replacing the highlighted sections. You may also specify the prompt further should you want to. You can then specify the language. you want your script to be in. For more detailed steps, check the AI Script Assistant Guide.

Step 4: Generating the Script

After you’ve customized the prompt, press “Enter” or click the black arrow to instruct the AI to generate the full script. The AI will take your input and turn it into a polished ad script. The script will appear on the editing page, where you can:

Make Additional Edits: The generated script functions like a standard text editor, allowing you to fine-tune the language, remove or add lines, or tweak the tone .

Ask AI to Rewrite Sections: If a part of the script doesn’t feel right, highlight the section and use the AI to rewrite it. For example, you can ask it to make the language more formal, shorten the sentence, or adjust the tone. For more about using this feature, see here.

Saving Custom Prompts

If you find yourself using a particular type of ad prompt frequently, you can save your customized prompt for future use. This is great for maintaining consistency across campaigns.

To save a custom prompt:

  1. Open the Content left panel.
  2. Click on Browse Prompt Library.
  3. Go to the Custom tab, name your prompt, and hit save. This allows you to quickly generate similar scripts by reusing your custom prompts. Learn more about this here.

Importing Your Own Script

If you already have a script written, you can skip the AI generation step and simply import your script into the editor. Paste it into the script editor on the right-hand side, and each paragraph will automatically be converted into a separate audio segment for easier editing. For more details, check out this help-centre article.

Adding Pauses

Once your script is set, you can enhance it further:

  • Add Pauses: Use the <break time="1.5s" /> syntax to add pauses in the script for better pacing. For more information, visit this help-centre article

For example: Martin walked down the street <break time="1.5s" /> he looked into the camera and laughed.

  • Or, click and drag the audio clips to adjust the pause duration between them.
